“Ordinary everyday moments hidden in love.”

When I was photographing, the baby was already 100 days old. Compared to the last time I took photos at the confinement center, there had been a huge change—he had become chubby and fair, liked to lift his head and look around, and also loved to smile.

The lovely mom had many unique ways to entertain her baby: she liked to use her bangs to “tickle” the baby; she enjoyed clapping her hands to make the baby blink; she also liked to frown and sniff the baby’s scalp, pretending to be disgusted; and when making milk, she said, “Let me go cook for the baby” [laughs].

When taking family photos, the mom insisted on sitting on a black leather chair, and later I found out it was a gift from the dad to the mom after she gave birth.

Although it was a 100-day photo shoot, they preferred for me to capture the little everyday moments of raising their baby. This is also my favorite type of photography—not the rituals, but the simple, loving details hidden in everyday life.
