A one-year-old cat deserves a proper birthday, too.

Her mom prepared a cake, a flower collar, and a sweet birthday backdrop to celebrate her first year at home.

After the birthday portraits, we also photographed the quieter everyday pieces of their life together: the two cats playing on the bed, keeping their mom company while she worked, watching a toy, and curling close when they wanted attention.

Life with two cats is probably like this.

You get interrupted every day.

And every day, you are softened by something tiny and very loved.
